Venessa Banks, Owner, Morningstar Marketing

Occupation: Owner, Morningstar Marketing

My work: I wear many hats. I am a wife and mother. By day, I am the executive assistant for the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau. By night, I am owner of Morningstar Marketing. All are full time jobs! My company produces Total You Women’s Expo, Athens Kids Expo, and we are preparing to launch AthensCouponMania.com.

My passion: Helping small business owners by providing affordable, effective ways for them to market their businesses.

I love: Spending time with my family.

My favorite possession: My wedding ring

My hometown: Elberton, GA

I’m thinking about: The many projects I need to complete

Words I live by:  Treat others the way you want to be treated.

I can’t live without: my faith, my family, and a few friends

I am most proud of: producing my first expo

I’m inspired by: people who don’t give up regardless of their starting point

What keeps me awake at night: business ideas

One thing I never want to do again: Ride Acrophobia and the Wheelie at Six Flags

Favorite website: www.AthensCouponMania.com (launch date August 1st)

Last major purchase: my house

The food I could eat every day: my husband's chicken salad

The food I never want to eat again: liver

My best friend says I am: real

I still can’t get the hang of: hula hooping

The world would be a better place, if only: we love a little more

I’d like to learn to: belly dance

My mother always said: keep God first and everything else will fall into place

My first job: cashier at Walmart at age 16

Whose diary would you most like to read? Michelle Obama and Kimora Lee Simmons

Early bird or night owl? Night owl

Favorite color and why? Black, it’s slimming and goes with everything

I feel strongest when: I accomplish a major goal

At the end of a long day, the first thing I want to do is: nothing

Always... love

Never... quit

I wish… everyone much success
